Listening to the single CD version. Have.not seen the film but I did see and own the soundtracks for TFA and MTA. A most impressive effort. The recurring Avengers theme is.most welcome- it's superb. A surprising pathos to the score. I assume the deep emotional quality of the music reflects the storyline. Might have to catch this on cable. Brm P.s I like the first one but thought ULTRON was terrible. Skipped WARS.

Portals. The Real Hero. Main on Ends. This is why I consider it almost impossible to get the full impact of a score without seeing or connecting with a film. The music is beautiful on its own, absolutely, but knowing and experiencing what the music supported and the capping of it all at the finish brings the emotional response up a few levels. I listen to those three cues repeatedly and each time, my heart swells and my eyes moisten. That wouldn't happen if I just looked at it as isolated music. Everyone's mileage may vary, but this score is such a gorgeous trip and all the more meaningful and moving because of my connection with the film itself. THATS why I'll probably see the film, eventually.

P.s I like the first one but thought ULTRON was terrible. Skipped WARS. Well, if you are going to watch Endgame eventually, you really ought to see Infinity War. It IS part one of this two part story. Age of Ultron really wasn't very good, but IW is miles better.

Does the plot really matter that.much? I know Brolin was victorious, lotsa folks died etc. AVENGERS has always been about the characters and their interactions. For me , at least.

I don't know why you would want to watch Endgame if you aren't willing to see Infinity War. Infinity War is a great movie, and has some wonderful interactions between many characters who had never before met on screen. If you enjoy the characters, Infinity War has a lot to offer, and Endgame builds on many events that happen during that movie beyond Thanos won and lots of people died.

I just can't watch another film that concludes with a ( boring) 30 plus minute ' action' scene. O read.the MAD MAGAZINE PARODIES instead.

But Infinity War is the much better film to me. Endgame was a real botched mess by comparison. A classic case of 'shit, how do we write ourselves out of this one' and the answer being, badly, as is generally the case. If I watched the last two I would hafta set aside 6- 7 hours of my life that I don't have to give.

I am always keen to watch the film AND listen to the score. Meanwhile, I have at least a dozen tv shows and.movies to watch first!

Interesting how Silvestri channels his CAST AWAY theme intro. That's a good thing!
