Pffft. What do you know about Star Trek music? (RUNS AWAY!)

(If anyone takes this seriously I honestly don't know what I'll do.)

Speaking of drinking, we have the champagne chilled. This puppy is down to the last 200 units and change. Didn't sell the initial 6000 units, but we did over 4000 of them

Anyone whom does not have this set really should make that purchase.

This is, with a few minor exceptions, definitive, and pretty much the best title I have.

Everyone involved in this set have my sincere gratitude and admiration.

Reading all this makes me want to grab the CDs and play something.

Only difficult question I have to resolve, is which episode score to play.

A pre-congratulations. This set is still one of the impossible things. I mean, starting with the fact that the tapes were supposed to be destroyed after each season.

It is still one of my prized possessions.

Should be required material for all academic institutions and public libraries.
And required listening at Star Fleet Academy, of course.

Does anyone know if there are official album covers somewhere to download for each individual season? I looked on La-La's Facebook page, but didn't see anything. Any help is appreciated!

Wow! I just bought an extra copy from LLL for 30% off. This is one of the greatest box sets ever.
I guess they sold all 6,000 copies pressed since its release in 2012. There are still more than a few soundtrack fans who will spend $225 for such a historic release.

No. MV said in his above post that they sold over 4000 units but decided to stop there. Never made it to the full 6000 pressings.

Have a look here where they have also made custom covers for each episode and disc:

I finally ordered this in the 30% off sale, can't wait for it to arrive!

Thanks for sharing these John. Nice custom covers! Still hoping to find original covers to max the box set, but we'll see.

Ordered a copy as well right before they sold out! Looking forward to getting it!

Drats!
I'd been meaning to contact LLL as a couple of my discs in the set (purchased in '16 or '17 ) seem to have become glitchy.
I'm guessing there'll be no replacement available from here on out? Though a three or four year old purchase might have been pushing it anyway.

Other than that, hell of an achievement! We'll not see the likes of this again anytime soon- if ever.

Hell of an achievement, indeed. I would've sold my soul for this before it was released...but thankfully, it didn't come to that.

They replaced a broken disc from this set for me not too long ago. They may be able to help you.
Are your discs skipping?

I luckily haven't had a disc problem - I can't imagine not contacting LLL about that - but the jewel cases keep spontaneously cracking horizontally. They seem to be proprietary so ordinary replacements aren't completely compatible with the black trays, the hub, the booklets, or the box. LLL eventually replaced 2 rather than tell me where to buy them (afraid I'm a bootlegger?). But those are cracking too. The box is sitting on a shelf with other cds and boxsets, and this has happened at two different addresses. I handle them carefully and don't play them all the time. Perhaps when it's hot the plastic expands but can't go anywhere because of the box, but why only this set? Totally bizarre, like a curse.

I’ve got four discs now that have single (albeit fairly tiny) cracks around the centre. I transferred all the discs to lossless files as soon as I bought them, but occasionally it’s nice to just play one of the actual CDs. So they haven’t been taken out of their cases much, and I look after my CDs very well. I think it’s these particular multi jewel cases used. The centre hubs are perhaps a tad too tight, stressing the CDs when they’re taken out and put back in, no matter how careful you are. Hoping these tiny cracks won’t get worse over time. If anybody else has this issue I’d definitely advise future-proofing yourself and ripping each CD to a lossless backup, just incase.

These are the replacement cases I've used on the entire set. They're much sturdier, solid and use traditional hubs. I can't speak to how they hold the booklets as I've chosen to keep those separate, but they work perfectly with everything else including the box.

Edit: seeing their note about not holding artwork, I think I must have combined pieces with their 4-disc case which does hold artwork. Sorry, this was years ago. I know I bought both and recall combining pieces. Doing the same should get you a 5-disc that works (minus the booklet).

Thanks, Matt, but I'd like to include the booklets which are too thick for the replacement case. I suppose I could chisel out the disc holder prongs so it could lay flatter. Did you actually get the all-clear version, or the other model with black hub and black cd holders? The black plastic is flimsier on the one I bought and one snap-in cd holder was broken already. The only positive was I only had to order one.

I think the original 5-disc version is correct. They say it doesn't hold artwork because it might fall out with the hinged cd holders, but that's the same with the original cases.
