Apologies if this has been covered, but this is one long thread. Just played the first disc and read the liners and was: 1) Incredibly impressed by the improvement in the sound over the original lp. 2) Shocked to read that the reason the Project 3 original release (along with, presumably, Bandolero) was so short (25 minutes or somesuch) was to help with the audiophile sound. Now, as someone who grew up with these albums and played them endlessly on pretty pedestrian stereo set-ups, I always thought the sound on those Project 3 albums was just horrible (along with Paramount Records) and had this perpetual surface noise. Can any of you share your expertise about Project 3?

I've been spinning the Goldsmith original these past few days. I'm loving the score. Have to say it's been a challenge ripping them cleanly to my iTunes library where I listen to my purchased music in Lossless quality. The first couple times, I found ticks in the first couple tracks. I looked for any surface dust or pits but couldn't find any. I used dBpowerAmp the last time to rip since I thought maybe iTunes was the culprit. I've had no issues ripping other CDs, even ones that have gotten a lot more use outside my office (car CD) like the BlueBox. It's weird.... Anyhow, it's a great set and the original score sounds amazing. The Hunt is one of the best cues I've ever heard. Stunning.

Hello MV et al., I was wondering if there is an ETA on printing more copies? I missed out on getting the initial run.

Wondering too - but also, is this just a mislabeled “out of print” or are more really coming our way? Wouldn’t mind this and the Batman set!

Fantastic set from what I got. Only issue is that the pressing plant put the standard Varese disk in the POTA box instead of the LLLR disk. Ooopsie ….
