Hmm… 12 fewer backers than the first campaign, but 10 more backers than the previous campaign despite having increased tiers. Not bad. But why did the first two campaigns get the “Project We Love” highlight by KS, but not this one I wonder? That might have helped…

I should point out that purchasing through Apple or Amazon doesn’t come with the liner notes PDF I’m fairly certain.

For anyone who might find it of interest, here are a few excerpts from the final GE Theater recording sessions on Dec 11 and 12 :-)

Very much hoping to have the completed EPs with contributors by the end of January, followed by a more general digital release a short while later.

Hello Leigh, thank you for sharing these recording sessions videos.

They sound all great, especially the latter one, who reminds me A PATCH OF BLUE and REINCARNATION OF PETER PROUD a lot.

Can't wait for the early 2024 release of your sixth album with this great CBS Library Jerry Goldsmith material!

Thanks for the kind words!

I can't believe that we were working on this (on and off) for approx. 20 months and have finally captured all of what was available to record (at present) from the GE Theater series.

Admittedly, these weren't huge kickstarter initiatives (especially when compared to those run by Tadlow and Intrada, and certainly the upcoming Horner project) but I'm immensely grateful for the support and contributions people have made in order to fill this gap in the Goldsmith discography (in a digital sense...for the moment). I hope everyone enjoys the final 3 EPs when they finally make their appearance (end of Jan for backers...March for a general release).

Have a happy holiday, folks!

In celebration of, what would have been, Jerry's 95th birthday, the audio files for "Autumn Love" (CBS library music) were released to our Kickstarter backers.

Here's a little example of how great the music is (each of the 7 cues are just like this; nicely structured, self-contained, units)

Thanks, Michael!

We got really lucky with these. All of us suspected that they might be good...but these cues really have surpassed any expectations smile

Great, I just received my copies of Goldsmith at GE Vol. 6 & 7 and Goldsmith at the CBS Library.
Very much looking forward to listening to them.

Now I just have to get the middle Kickstarter Volumes, as I missed them for some reason.

Any possible dates on a CD release of these scores?
I don't really do digital only, but look forward to owning them on CD.

My JG GE digital album is now a whopping 79 minutes long! What a wonderful collection of miniature scores from the master's early days. Beautiful performances and recording. Many many thanks to Leigh Phillips for bringing these back to life so wonderfully. I'll be on board for the next project!

I think sometime this year is probably as specific as I can be, at the moment. But, there will be a physical release.

Thanks, Michael! Very happy to hear that you've enjoyed the scores.

God, did we really record that much (I've honestly not sat down and counted it up)??

Thanks, Nick! I think vol 7 is my favourite out the entire set (or very close, at least)

I just ordered Volumes 3,4 and 5 from your website, so my set is now "complete".
Now it's time to listen.

Just a suggestion for folks open to it, but if you re-order these volumes to construct a full 79 minute album in iTunes chronologically by composition/airdate, it actually plays SUPER well. Here’s that play order for the GE Theater scores; “Autumn Love” works really well as a bonus score at the end OR at the beginning (Goldsmith did write it in the late 50s before any of these):

1. Hitler’s Secret (season 8 episode 3, aired October 4, 1959)
2. The Last Dance (season 8 episode 10, aired November 22, 1959)
3. Sarah’s Laughter (season 8 episode 16, aired January 3, 1960)
4. The Committeeman (season 8 episode 18, aired January 17, 1960)
5. The Legend That Walks Like a Man (season 9 episode 20, aired February 12, 1961)
6. My Dark Days - Prelude (season 10 episode 25, aired March 18, 1962)
7. My Dark Days - Aftermath (season 10 episode 26, aired March 25, 1962)
8. The Bar Mitzvah of Major Orlovsky (season 10 episode 28, aired April 15, 1962)

Looking forward to hearing what people think of the 32 minutes of new Goldsmith that just dropped…

I am wondering too if there will be a CD release.
