lol

I will say that if/when a complete release arrives, it should include both versions of that cue

Ah yeah, that little bit is unreleased. I don't think it's an alternate of "Planting The Bomb," just the nightmare created by all the editing making it seem like one continuous cue. But what do I know? Hah.

What a time to be alive...

Well, we don't have Pelican Brief in complete form, but Roger Scott Craig recently surfaced on YouTube to reveal himself as the composer of that porno theater cue! And the channel for his band, 101 South, made it available for listening here:

More info on Mr. Craig here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roger_Scott_Craig

Haha I was just listening to this and wondering if there have been any updates and what do I find above? The guy from Liverpool Express is responsible for that source music!

The only thing PELICAN BRIEF makes me think of these days is the Key and Peele sketch where they sing a PELICAN BRIEF jingle, 59 seconds in:

“Watch out behind you,
They’re trying to find you,
PEL-I-CAN BRIEF!”

LITERALLY just thought of this score and thinking it would be even better in expanded form

Pelican Brief and Patriot Games was my two very first Horner soundtracks on CD so I have a soft spot for those two scores.

Out of all the places for this to happen, one of the violinists for this score, Gary Kuo, shared his experience in the comments under the reaction video by the YouTube channel Popcorn In Bed:

"Awesome! This was the first major motion picture I worked on as a session violinist in Los Angeles. It was an amazing experience to watch and work for James Horner as well as see what happened behind the scenes. Fun Fact: That atonal banging you hear during the garage chase sequence is no less than THREE massive grand pianos used throughout the score! Enjoy, everyone!"

Now we know that three grand pianos were used!

We wanted to do an expanded Sneakers in 2012 but were shot down by Universal. No reason was given. It bummed us and Sony Music out.

Perhaps another label had the rights or they didn't like the cut of our jib. Don't know. frown

Nice that Universal in the end changed their minds

To me this score just meanders. I wish I could get into it. I’ll try it again .

I want A Sneakers Expansion before a Pelican Brief Expansion.

Ten years later, we got one! So we may get The Pelican A Bit Longer.

Warner Bros

No Pelican Brief
No Perfect Storm
No The Man Without a Face
No Spitfire Grill
No potential reissue of In Country
No potential reissue of Troy

In addition to no more Batman, Superman, Harry Potter, etc that aren’t Horner scores.

Not now at least

But that could change one day.

Surprises have been known to appear.

No one was expecting Joker: Folie à Deux crater harder than The Eternals, so you never know...
