I remember when he blasted on to the scene with THE USUAL SUSPECTS. That was when I first noticed him, anyway. Still a superb film. I hate #cancelculture with a passion, and applaud both Spacey's performance and Singer's direction. Ottman's score is darkly delicious thriller scoring, and remains my favourite to this day.
I've explored bits and pieces of his work over the years. Quite a bit of it is rather anonymous orchestral writing, but once in a while he delivers. Other favs include INCOGNITO, SHOW WHITE, APT PUPIL. He was on fire in the 90s and early 2000s. Been less enthused with his work in recent years, at least as composer (he obviously also directs and edits).
