Being one of Mr Holdridge's TOP...FANS...I think it is an absolute disgrace that people have received their MR MOM CD's before me.
I know there is a pandemic on and all that, but I will be writing to my local MP, plus ALL & SUNDRY, to DEMAND an apology and a FULL INVESTIGATION into why this soundtrack is not currently spinning in my household.
Mine was posted on Wednesday and we only live next door (Spain>UK).
Heads Will Roll (and I hope it's crap!!!)

Enjoy wink

Kev, I live literally NEXT DOOR to el seƱor Quartet, and he said he had contrived a plot with his POST OFFICE and YOUR Post Office, and your LOCAL MP. And your POSTMANPERSON, and they all agreed to HALT your order until you begin to show some RESPECT around here, and stop being SILLY. I then phoned LEE HOLDRIDGE, in Haiti, and he told me that he AGREED with your being singled out, and not to expect much from a film titled MR MOM for chrissakes. That's IF you get it at all, which we don't think you will.

Well, Senor Wattage, you can EXPECT to be VISITED by your local Gendarmes or Military MP of Police (with guns) any time now (or post haste) for wasting Post Office Time and obstructing the course of postage CDs.
They will rip up your vineyards and you won't be able to shag Emmanuelle Beart ANY more!!
And it will have been All Your Own Fault!!

Just gave this a listen, lovely job by everyone. I did a cue by cue list and swapped out the mono cues for stereo so I have a score presentation that is mostly stereo, but with the 3-4 mono cues that were not found for stereo cues. I'm a happy camper. That theme Lee created is so darn beautiful.

Got mine yesterday! I hadn't posted anything yet, because I was then distracted by... well, that's another story. Anyway...

Terrific sound quality, even on the mono cues! Obviously I cherry pick the stereo ones where I can. The liner notes are an interesting read, as well. I won't spoil anything on that.

One interesting observation I made is that the stereo version of "Crazy Days" also seems to be edited, though it is not listed as such. It may even be a different take, as some performance aspects seem different. Maybe it's just my imagination. But there are some repeated notes that aren't there on the mono version.

"Another Good Day" is gorgeous. Easily my favorite of the three "after work" cues.

"Missing Her" is perfectly melancholy, yet uplifting at the same time.

Do I need to say anything about the main/end titles?

Never thought I'd see this title released...we've all said that a lot over the last 10 years or so....it's a perfect score for an underrated movie. The child actors in particular turn in really classic performances. Can't wait for this one to arrive!

MR. MOM , the Lee Holdridge score was a pure delight to add to my other Lee Holdridge CD's. The music was light and very melodic; nothing zany. That's the way I like them. Thanks Quartet for finding this gem.

Isn't Goldsmiths Patton theme quoted in this one?
And did that track make the cut?

No idea what this is, but Holdridge's Tuksegee Airmen is supposed to reference Goldsmith's military in flight scores I don't think so that's his own colour scheme what I heard.

Any Holdridge is swell I will audition this I love Holdridge's styles he is pretty broad, well-done Quartet you got me gooey for this, thanks.

Just got this in and I loved listening to it.

Neil, I am wondering if the source music used in the male strip club scene is part of the original score (obviously missing if it is, I know)

Awesome job on what you did find. Thanks for your hard work!

The cue sheet titles it "Spaceman." It was incomplete on the film reels (to match the movie). It was not on the 1/4".

Thanks!

Neil
