Last Child got to it ahead of me.

Didn't expect to hear 1950s recordings because, last month, the clue mentioned 2 LPs from the '80s.
These will be the oldest recordings issued by Dragon's Domain/BuySoundtrax so far.

Were the album masters from SAE utilized? Or did James Nelson/Digital Outland do vinyl rips as had been done with the Japanese LPs (i.e. Ragland's Grizzly or Jaguar)?

Zardoz, since you knew who the composer was, it doesn't matter who posted first. I thought that was clever misdirection to specify 1980s LPs for 1950s scores.
The composer's tapes exist at the American Heritage Center. I dunno if the AHC would loan them out, or only send digitized files. They aren't sound engineers so their digitizations might sound worse than using LP's.

Hum... orchestral, horror, maybe a Christopher Young score, maybe Hellbound?

The third release is a reissue of a classic 1980’s horror score remixed and rebuilt from the ground up with the help of the composer. In our opinion sounds better then ever before. Sorry - no samples on this one because you’d guess it in a second.

This one must be TROLL !

That's coming out next month or early December (I forget) from WRWTFWW Records, along with TERRORVISION and GHOULIES.

But on vinyl, not cd.

GHOULIES is definitely on CD, I pre-ordered it. I assumed the others were, but didn't look too far into it since I already own them.

EDIT: TROLL is indeed a CD release, but for some reason not TERRORVISION.

I went to the WRWTFWW website but could find no indication that these are on cd. Maybe it's there and I'm just not seeing
it (this happens alot when I'm at the supermarket and the item is on the shelf and I don't see it).

It is buried in there with the endless vinyl/t-shirt/combo options.

Interesting to see another Troll vinyl release! I'm really curious about Ghoulies since Band only composed 16 minutes of score...could the rest be the music that was tracked in? I think it was from Alchemist but I can't remember anymore.

Yes, in addition to the (excellent) original music in "Ghoulies," the film uses quite a bit of "The Alchemist." This wonderful cue, in particular, is used several times in the film:

It's anybody's guess if "The Alchemist" cues are what fill up the "Ghoulies" LP though...

In regards to the "Troll" discussion, somebody pointed out earlier that Richard Band's website seems to confirm that the 80s orchestral horror score is "From Beyond."

I seem to recall that Richard recreated the edited cues for this release.

So, are the titles to be announced at a particular time?

The post says early Wednesday, but they are located in California so it'll be later for East Coasters.

Yes, the first two samples are obviously Albert Glasser, God only knows what scores they be.

The clues indicate which scores they be, so need for a deity.

It automatically took off the discount from the Halloween sale! I just assumed that a new release wouldn't qualify....What a great surprise. Thanks, BSX!
