I mean, he scored a Star Wars film that had a decent amount of violence...though I guess I don’t know how much more violent this film is going to be. Yavar

By the way, News of the World is one of the best novels I've read in the past two years. Just 200 pages of magic, almost poetic, with enough of a story to propel it along. Will make a good movie if Tom Hanks plays it straight, the young actress is good, and the director doesn't try to clutter up the movie but lets the story breathe.

Looks like this film is bypassing UK cinemas (it was due to be released early January) and going straight to Netflix. I was looking forward to seeing it in a cinema, but hey ho. The US is the only country getting a brief theatrical release, it was sold to Netflix for international distribution.

Listened a couple of times, is JNH in pure form, style and capable of create emotions, isn't Wyatt Earp, so?, is a bad score, for no goes in that style?, hell no. Howard gaves gravitas to the journey of the characters in the movie, given emotional weight in most of the movie scenes, even the the action is dark, but given the subejct matter (even to this day, some people hate scores like The Homesman for not going 3:10 to Yuma style) works tremendously well and solid in the movie, and is for what movie music is for.
