Yeah, that's interesting psychology. It's that particular sound of Barry's that I can't stomach. It's almost as if it grates on a biological level somehow. Whereas you have it as a favourite. Fascinating!
Absolutely. Life would be a bore if we all had the same tastes.

Hi Alex! BTW, I've been working on my Barry collection and love it!
Alex, I've been meaning to mention for awhile that I very much enjoyed your renditions of "The Christmas Wine" and "A Christmas Song." Saw them on youtube long before I made the connection on these threads.

Thank you, that's very kind. It's hard to believe that was ten years ago.
If you e-mail me, I can send you some piano arrangements i've done of Barry's music. You might enjoy them.
I've been listening to this a lot lately. I love the interpolations of As Time Goes By. Is there a preferred release of this particular recording? The version on youtube that I've been listening to has pretty weak sound quality.
The only CD release is from Universal France. Sound quality is very good. Don't know the source of the youtube video. I know there was an Americans boot kicking around. The original LP was on Polydor.
