I prefer Batgirl.

Would that be pouty lip Batgirl Yvonne Craig or thin lip Batgirl Alicia Silverstone?

Yvonne.

Julie Newmar

She's very pretty and sexy but OT my friend!

Julie Newmar IS the answer to every question (ergo, always On Topic).
To paraphrase the Riddler talking about outwitting Batman:
"She is my sole delight......my joy, my heaven on earth, my very paradise."

Adam West, the finest Batman of all and the only one that got the tone right.

"Some days you just can't get rid of a bomb"

Plus best Robin, best Joker, best Batmobile, and definitely best Batgirl and Catwoman. Newmar hits the spot no other Catwoman can hope to! Much as I like Lee Meriwether, it's a cat-crime Newmar wasn't in the 60s movie. That villain line-up is incomplete without her.

All three Catwomen were sexy but Meriwether was the tops.

For the record I like pouty lip Batman. And that's coming from a heterosexual.

Of course it's all a matter of taste when discussing (Cat) women, and I don't doubt Merriwether being good looking, just not as sexy as Newmar. I suspect another thing is seeing someone else in that suit when I've already gotten used to the original in it. Like it's a imposter sort of thing. I don't think anyone (in the show certainly) can follow Gorshin as The Riddler either. Something about his particularly unhinged zaniness in the part.

As for Batmen, I actually don't have preference in how their mouth looks! But I do think they can look unintentionally funny when they're too short (some running scenes in Burton's first film made me cringe a tiny bit), and I feel there should be some observance of height here. I think of Keaton and Bale (another double act there for ya) as a bit titchy.

And definitely no bulky hulk suit for the body. In my mind Batman is supposed to swing around those buildings from lots of trapeze type training. No one in their right Bat-mind would wear half a ton of rubber tyres around them in that situation Mr Affleck!

My favorite is definitive Michael Keaton. I hardly remember, it' s too long since I watched the films.
... but I think, his Batman was the darkest.

Adam West, I only saw peaces. I thought them somehow funny. wink
... but from the pictures, I think, he was the best Bruce Wayne.

Val Kilmer and George Clooney I didn' t like.

I do like " Batman begins " very much, but funny, I can' t say nothing about Cristian Bale,
' cause I hardly remember him.

I don' t know why, but I often go with the villains. cool
Liam Neeson was so strong, such a great performance, he took it away from Bale.

... and Michael Caine as Alfred was just beautiful.
... and Morgan Freeman and Rutger Hauer I do love, too.
So, no chance on concentrating on Bale. smile

For their voices I can' t tell, I only knew the german voices.
... but I saw " Beetlejuice " in the original and I like Keaton' s voice.

greetings

Great post! I wonder if you were drinking too much Warsteiner my friend as you don't seem to remember much, lol. I drink my English real ale AFTER I come home from the cinema (though I'm off to the pub right now). Adam West WAS funny because his show was in his words a "farce", or comedy. But you are so right about Liam Neeson. That was the first time my wife ever said she could watch a movie all over again, something she's never done.

Of course it's often said that Batman's villains steal the show right back since those Adam Westian sixties. As for Alfreds. I don't think there's ever been a bad one, although I think The Animated Series definitely nails him for me.

Clooney is my favorite "Bruce Wayne". Ben Affleck is my favorite "Batman". Keaton though was the best lipped Batman. Don't like any of the character actors who playing Alfred. Just ridiculous, because all I see is the actor not the character.

I think they're all GOOD Bruce Waynes, and only fall down as Batmen.

The greatest BW though is actually one of those 40s ones. Now even I forget which, but I know that one of them plays BW as an actual playboy, meaning he couldn't care less what's going on. THE WHOLE REASON (beyond the money for the "amazing toys" of later years) for the massive gap (and therefore 'great' disguise) between Bruce Wayne and Batman. No one is 'supposed' to suspect they can be one and the same. Because one is SO laid back he's horizontal, and the other well, we know don't we.....?

And unless someone can come up with a none inducing titter at those silly voices, this is the obvious way it was all conceived by dear old Bob Kane in the first place.
