I watch a (largely terrible) TV series, with the missus, called The Good Doctor on some channel or other and I noticed Dan Romer writes the scores for it. Some of the music can be quite nice for it.
It's gone quiet out there regarding this rumor so perhaps Dan is still on board. We should know for sure in a couple of months. I'm looking forward whatever the result may be. Anybody hear any updates on contenders for the theme song?
"Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" was produced by Albert R. Broccoli himself, not by EON Productions. Many years later, in 2017, "Film Stars Don't Die in Liverpool" was produced by Barbara Broccoli himself, not by EON Productions. "The Rhythm Section" is produced by both Barbara Broccoli & Michael G. Wilson, the family, as EON Productions.
FILM STARS DON'T DIE was, indeed, a full, official EON Production. Look at the billing block of this poster, it includes the EON logo and their name in the text, with Barbara Broccoli as producer and Michael G Wilson as Exec Producer.:
This is just obsessive. There are other composers who can score bond. I love John Barry's scores but looking back over the 24 films a real asset has been the range of composers who have scored the Bond movies. Arnold has done 5 ...for me it's enough, let someone else have a go. If not Romer then how about Craig Armstrong or Alexandre Desplat or Daniel Pemberton.....either one could do the business.
Arnold has only done two Craig Bond scores (and both of them are among his best work!) I say that Craig started his Bond journey with Arnold’s greatest Bond score...he should end it that way too. After that, I agree with you that Arnold can let the franchise go to Pemberton.

Adam is pretty obsessive about a lot of things on this forum, if you haven't noticed.
Tangential, but I just saw that there's going to be a coffee table book about Bond's Aston Martin. Teaser trailer indicates it's going to be in the new film...
I hope that teaser isn't indicative of the score for the film, 'cause it's just terrible.
It looks like usual trailer music, synth samples of the bond theme arranged to fit the timings of the teaser (which is a teaser to announce a trailer... not sure if they had done this before). I imagine, with the film still 4 months to release date, the scoring sections probably have not even started yet.

The only reason you're hearing "Bring back Arnold" is because Barry is dead.

Im surprised that he doesnt want his beloved Brian Tyler to score the film. That way he could post endless pictures of the man at his scoring sessions and world premieres.
