Sunny, warm. The usual.

Has Thor tunneled his way out of the snow drifts yet?

He, he...yes. There are only sporadic remants of snow left in Oslo today; instead, it's sparkling spring sun (but rather chilly temps at below 10C) as people drift up in the mountains, or abroad, for their Easter breaks.

So although both April and May can be 'trickster' months in Norway, I feel fairly certain that spring has now arrived for good, and that any lowland snow coming in in the next few weeks is bound to dissipate quickly.

In fact, I had my first balcony brunch of the year today.

My daughter and I took our first official Spring ride in the Mustang convertible, top down today. It was about 74 here and we drove to a favorite restaurant up in the higher elevations of Massachusetts. On the way home, we passed by two well known ski areas. In the midst of the budding greenery were these endless hills of snow. I wanted to cry. I used to ski in the spring but I no longer long for April snow.

Hot in the sun, chilly in the shade. And the wind is blowing so that my eyes are watering from some danged trees that are shedding.

In the north of Spain, where I live, it's warm and sunny. Strangely enough, according to the maps they show after the news on the telly, it's raining in the south, spoiling the Easter break for literally billions of British holidaymakers who somehow think that it should always be hot and sunny. Such stupidity demands punishment, and the best punishment for those ignorant beer-monsters is rain.

The same in West Yorkshire, apart from the bag.

I don't get this bag-wearing fashion. Whatever it is I hope I don't catch it. Sounds silly to me, like old men wearing jeans in a pathetic attempt to look young or even "rebellious". I blame the government, and that's not a political statement. Actually it is, so this thread will now be locked and then let's see what you so-called bag-wearers do, eh? And you thought you were so clever.

I should mention the weather. Hot and sunny here in the north, raining in the south where all those idiotic British families go thinking it's hot and sunny all year round. Serves them right. I'm going out into the garden now to sit in the shade with a cool cocktail, and some kind of big bag on my head.

You got two out of three letters wrong? That's beyond belief, bag-wearer. Don't think you can back out of this now.
