If I may direct attention towards the FSM thread on Mainstream Records, then one can notice that (since 2011) Intrada has been the label to take the lead on reissuing Mainstream LP programs onto CDs.
And if we look at the Film Score Friday column, we witness Mr. Bettencourt writing about Piccioni and Garvarentz (due to this Intrada new release).

So ... how many FSMers purchased this album and love it?
Has anybody become a follower of the music by either Garvarentz or Piccioni as a direct result of listening to this Intrada CD?

Maybe this is senseless under the music appreciation category, but I think a lot of former LP collectors wish for the straight reissues of LP programs when they eventually arrive onto CD.
They do, and many labels, during the mastering process, will re-create the album edits from the master elements. The Sandpiper and La Dolce Vita come to mind.
In this case, Intrada used a copy of a copy, and in horrid rechanneled stereo at that. Anyone wanting the album version can easily find it in its entirety on the Easy Tempo version, or the deluxe DVD package.

A near mint LP of Mainstream's The 10th Victim (in that 'horrid' rechanneled stereo) is listed at $79.99!
It's curious that this record is considered a high-ticket item when (as you say) a more complete & better-sounding version is available elsewhere.

Any Piccioni fans who don't have THE 10TH VICTIM should snap up this album right away. It's one of his best - a kooky lounge masterpiece!

I was already aware of the Great Garvarentz, but my knowledge of Piccioni was vastly insufficient. Picking up speed now.

Naturally I bought this CD as I buy anything Garvarentz (I already have the older complete CD of the Piccioni score). It's great! I am fond of the film as well. Cool stuff.
Here is hoping that Garvarentz's THEY CAME TO ROB LAS VEGAS might be released one day officially and in good sound? I have played the Har*it CD for at least thousand times but the sound quality is really poor. The score rocks! One of my favorites.

Yeah, it sounds better than the LP master. The source is from the tapes in Italy.

Of all my Piccioni albums (100+), this one bears the most resemblance, IMO, to La decima vittima.
