Thinking outside the box here, but this technically fits the definition...right?

Nothing starring Joan Crawford or Bette Davis has been mentioned?

I still don't know what you mean by 'powerful'. 'Powerful' and 'woman' are two words which I wouldn't use in the same sentence (other than this one). I guess Marion's Theme is my favorite theme for a woman.

This board never ceases to amaze me. It is like walking into a time portal back into an era before I was born...

Here is another one. This may be one of the most underrated cue in the 2000s. Listen to it and you believe you can do anything.

While I was reading the comments, I thought: "Strange that nobody has mentioned this one". Now that I find it in the last post of the thread, I am saying: Why only now?

I actually meant to add that to my list but somehow forgot!

„I Had a Farm in Africa” by John Barry

I think the original question meant powerful as in 'muscular' rather than emotionally.

It explains why almost every thread seems to explicitly or implicitly end up in a whinge-fest of people complaining that music "these days" is inferior to the music of the past.

A lot of themes mentioned here are emotional instead of powerful including the lovely Red Sonja theme.

Perhaps Gedrens's music, coz she was a rough 'un.

Maybe not directly a theme for Buffy, but more of a Slayer theme, but it sure represents girl power!

I agree with you on that, Erik!

And acathla, I came very close to including the Duncan finale music for Buffy, but it didn’t seem like that ever attached to Buffy herself in a singular way, so I didn’t think it qualified. I guess if anything is Buffy’s Theme, it’s that rock main title? And I guess it could be considered powerful but I’ve never been a big fan to be honest. (I far prefer the Angel Main Title).
