Lunaris Records released in 2019 a limited 45 RPM rerecording of the main theme. According to Discogs supposedly the original soundtrack for the film is lost, possibly from the same fabled studio fire that destroyed the master tapes of Morricone’s "Danger: Diabolik". All of this is a completely wrong info. Lunaris Records themselves wrote on their website that they think it could be the tapes might have been lost in the same fire as DANGER: DIABOLIK: https://www.lunarisrecords.com/products/ozarks-seven-blood-stained-orchids-7 But this can´t be true at all as the rights owner for the Morricone score was Laurentiis and the fire had been at the Laurentiis studios. On the other hand, the music publisher for SETTE ORCHIDEE was/is Edi-Pan (Bruno Nicolai´s company) who have nothing to do with Laurentiis at all. By the way, the main theme of SETTE ORCHIDEE is track 18 "Sensual Mood" on the L´INVASIONE CD.

The Fred Bongusto is also very enjoyable.

Pes n de Luca was enjoyable. As was Usuelli, though it did have one of the worst tracks I've heard in a while.

Played through it all, once. Mussolini was my least favourite. The music was OK in itself but was mostly source music, in style. At 79m it went on a bit.

Thanks for update Damian 5 out of 6 is good return. Yup enjoyed it. A bit hard going trying to play them all swiftly. There isn't anything I'd label 'shit' . Well apart from that track I said was awful ( + one more track, possibly). The Mussolini one would probably be better in two halves or a few tracks at a time. It just goes on a bit.

But the Peguri, Bongusto, Reverberi, Pes, de Luca you liked? Be interesting how your opinions might change as you listen to them all a few more times?

But the Peguri, Bongusto, Reverberi, Pes, de Luca you liked? Be interesting how your opinions might change as you listen to them all a few more times? I liked all, bar the one score. Those you quote would be at the top of the heap. The Peguri is my favourite of the lot ( playing some now). It's got some nice themes. Some has a little bit of a western vibe, which doesn't hurt. You can almost see Terance Hill, asleep on his horse. Very catchy. And, yes, opinion may change. Some stand out right away, some don't.

Thanks for the impressions, Damian. Gonna order this lovely set as soon as it's listed at Chris' Soundtrack Corner. Definitely more pluses than minuses. Sound is good too.

I've played most again. Peguri is still favourite. No 2 to 5 would be Reverberi, Bongusto, Usuelli, Pes & De Luca. The rest would be 6- 8. And the Mussolini bringing up the rear. I'm quite partial to the Reverberi. It's quite sunny, for the most part. Though it does have one track I'd call rubbish. It might work in context but is hard on its own. There's some suspense, as it's a heist film, I think. The 'sunny' stuff is, sort of, like a cross between Herb Alpert & Bert Kaempfert. Nice n catchy. Also I smile at some of the Pes/de Luca. Why? Well I can't help but see Kenny Everett dressed as Sid Snot. The ones I haven't mention- they are ok, just a bit of a lesser effort. For example I really like Stel but here he only contributed a small amount overall. And that which I like the least - it's OK, I just don't think I could play it in one go, again. It's too much source music on the run. So it'll be split down, I think. I look forward to vol. 2.
