90% of the world isn't interested in film scores, let alone a 5CD set of horror film scores. Let's not pretend no overseas shipping is what is holding back any kind of gangbusters sales of this. And, for all we know, individual purchases (excluding online retailers like SAE, for example) of average titles are probably mostly made within the U.S. (exempting titles here and there, no doubt).

Are they not even shipping overseas to retailers like Music Box?

It's just the signed copies through Dark Del that won't be shipped overseas. The regular unsigned version will be readily available, like any other Intrada release.

Have this box in-hand and haven’t listened to it, but want to say I love the art - individual disc covers and the retro slipcase cover. Beautifully done, Intrada!

Dark Delicacies is a mom and pop store. They get by. They do a lot of book signings and sending those overseas is expensive and when one gets lost or what not they have to eat the cost, refund the buyer and are out money. They make very little per book, CD, blu-ray sold so when one goes missing or worse, that dives deep into any profits they may get. It's unfortunate, but it's the way it is and with the vax tax and what not going on, so darn expensive for everyone.

Sorry, Petey, common sense explanations are no match for pouty emotional outbursts.

I'm currently listening to this unexpected 5-CD set. What a pleasure to get these scores in complete form so soon after their initial release!

On a side note, the package was ungraciously stepped on by someone during the shipping trip : the cardboard clearly displayed a foot-shaped mark! Fortunately, I had spare jewel cases and none of the discs were scratched.

I greatly enjoyed the original albums, not having watched the movies. Each of them has its specific flavor. For me, the real highlight is the central main theme heard in the 1994 parts (in movies 1 and 3). It gets wonderful variations in the second half of the third movie especially. It's reminiscent of Sidney's sad and haunting theme from the Scream original trilogy. I was very happy to read in the (very informative) liner notes that its dramatic and emotional power was praised by the composers and the director.
And now I can listen to every bit of music composed for the entire project!

I wish to express my thanks to everyone involved, with a special thought for Douglass Fake.

For Beltrami buffs, Intrada’s Fear Street is a treat.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, edern! I'm very glad you enjoyed the notes. The trilogy was fascinating to write about and I hope folks find it just as enjoyable to listen to.
