Oh and a terrific Michael Kamen DVD from 1999 that's well worth seeking out on the Pioneer label.

It features his Concerto for Saxophone and is cleverly directed with footage of him conducting the National Phil and David Sanborn, coupled with footage of Kamen's family interpolated with various impressionistic visuals of birds, London and oceans.

There are interviews too with the late great maestro alongside his daughters, which are ever more poignant for obvious reasons.- Tim

I have Michael's sax concerto on CD - he sent me a copy himself! Someone did me a VHS copy of the concerto years ago from their own VHS or laserdisc (before DVD) and it was okay til there was x rated stuff going on - can't believe they had it on a music video like this! Never watched it since! The video didn't have any interviews.

I just found that saxohonist Eric Marienthal also played the concerto and it's on CD with other music. I'd love to play it - or at least an excerpt - sometime myself with an orchestra.

Unless I missed it on the list, isn't there a Georges Delerue DVD out there?

Yes, part of the Music for the Movies series. Sadly it isn't great and filmed in an odd overly close-up way.

There's also this new one which will hopefully get released at some stage soon:

Thanks for your help in advance.

Joe Kryston: A must see show! Glad i flew down from Alaska to see. Will there be a blu ray of the tour?

Director John Carpenter: Not this one, but there will be one of last year's tour out soon.

Just on the Philip Glass topic:

Documentaries:
Four American Composers: Philip Glass (Peter Greenway)
The Changing Image of Opera (1984, about Einstein on the Beach)
A Composer’s Notes (about the composing of Akhanten)
Looking Glass (the aforementioned doc)
GLASS: A Portrait of Philip in Twelve Parts

Various BBC docs on minimalism including one called “Sounds Like Philip Glass”

Not his film music, but there are also DVDs and Blu-ray’s of things like Einstein, his opera about the death of Walt Disney called The Perfect American, Kepler, The Lost...etc
