So, what are YOU asking Santa for Christmas the year?

A chainsaw.

We recently moved to the mountains and have some large pieces of timber on our property that I need to cut down to a reasonable size so I can chop them up for firewood with my axe. smile

Santa brought me a chainsaw!

Josh, so glad Santa got you that saw. (From that picture, Santa might want to buy you a face lift. wink)

I got some nice gifts. I like a particular kind of makeup. (Moisturizers, cleansers, etc.) My husband bought me a gift set of this brand, but it mostly contained anti-wrinkle serums. Should I hit him with a rolling pin. smile

Jacy and me had a very nice, funny and full of excitement Christmas and before Christmas time this year, I wanna share with you and hoping it' s not to much off topic.

Last year was so great with our " Wichteln " ( secret santa ) on the creative board , we had so much fun and then I got that great water painting of my hero Charles Napier, I couldn' t imagine a better Christmas.
... but this year was even on top of it.

When we started " Wichteln " unfortunately four of our regular members, who support the board
very much, had family problems and no time to join the " Wichteln " . So the rest of us decided,
we join them, without their knowledge. So we looked in our shops, what would give them a pleasure
and send each of them two packages with a lot little packages inside.
We laughed our ass off, when the first packages arrived at them and we all had a great time
at Christmas wrapping out our packages and showing pictures on the board.

I got a very cute gift, too. Since I got no gifts on Christmas, I was a little excited, too,
while wrapping it out and I really had to laugh at it.

So, here' s a little story before for better understanding of my little gift.
Couple of weeks before Christmas one of our members asked, if anyone of us could do a bigger
order right 'til Christmas. She showed us a picture of an ugly very chaotic thing, out of twisted wires and cheap acrylic beads, which supposed to be a christmas tree ball. The lady, who made the order wanted 20 of theese balls ' til Christmas.
One of our members and her four nice teeny sons took the order and was showing us pictures of the first balls. They were so beautiful and much lovelier than the original ones. She took beautiful golden wire instead of the black and decided for real glass beads.
We called them beaded hedgehogs, 'cause that was, what they looked like.

So, first Christmas night I was unwrapping my package and had to laugh a lot.
I got four little packages and an wrapout instruction to read before, to have more pleasure
to guess, who' s my Wichtelpartner, ' cause wrapping out number 4, I would know immediately.

So I followed the instructions and got to number 4 and have to laugh out loud.
I opend the first little box of number 4 and one of these little cute stingy fellows was waving at me
with one sting. So I opened the other box and a second one was grinning at me.
And here' s the little story, my Wichtelpartner wrote me.
To understand, instead of a wish list, I wrote a little letter to my Wichtelpartner, making it
easier, to do a gift for me. I wrote, that deep in my soul, I know that I' m a fur trapper. I like to roam around with Jacy enjoying mother nature. I like all kind of wool stuff and natured necklaces
and bracelets, indian style and I don' t like any decoration at all. The only decoration, I got, are
pictures of my dogs, places where I was or would like to go, figures of my spirit animals and a picture of my hero.

So, after unwrapping the little stingy fellows, I sat there thinking, where to put them,
but the little fellows are a very smart bunch and came up with the right solution.

So here' s the little story my Wichtelpartner has written me. I hope you can enjoy it, I had a little
trouble with the translation

Dear Michel,

Ready with package number 4?

Then for that here is this following little story.

As I was twisting the hedgehogs for the big order, suddenly one evening I heard a soft voice.
I looked around. I recognised, that one of the already finished little hedgehogs waved a stinger at me, to get closer with my ear. I turned my head with astonishment and listend eagerly, what the little hedgehock would tell me.
" Hey, you. You' re doing the Wichtel gift to Michel, ain' t you? "
I nodded.
" We go after Michel for a long Time "
" Who is we? " I asked " and what do you mean with go after? "
I looked at the little hedgehog in astonishment.

" Well " , the little hedgehog nodded very heavily, "you got to know that the world- wide- beaded hedhehog- community is connected very well. We were created long time ago in Northern America. Fur Trappers began to twist little beaded hedgehogs at the campfires in the evening, out of wires and beads, they traded from indians.

" But I thought... " , I started, but the little hedgehog interuppted me. "Yeah, you think it' s some Kind of new fancy decoration idea. But we operate covertly. At least two beaded hedgehogs were hanging in every real Fur Trappers lodge . But no one knows anymore. And that' s why we go after Michel' s home for a long time.
A real Fur Trappers home without beaded hedgehogs is quite plain uncompleted.
That' s why the pals in Northern America contacted us via star broadcast , that help is on its way.

" What do you mean star broadcast? " The situation was confusing me more and more.
A talking little beaded hedhehog and star broadcast. What would be follow next?

" Well, what do you think, we usually communicate with our pals? Usually we' re hanging in windows. No problem at all to send messages to the pals in Northern America and reverse."

" But in his wishlist he said, he doesn' t like any decoration at all. " I objected.

" Decoration? " the little hedgehog snorted contemptible. " Who is talking 'bout decoration?
Beaded hedgehogs, to complete his home finally. And he should hang them in the window, please for that the connection to the Northern American pals is ensured. And you got that beads, that glow in the dark. " I nodded. " Take some of them, too, do you? As a special sign to the stars, that the mission is ended successful finally. " " All right, I will do that. " I said , " So I will get down to work. "
... and it so happend, that...

With this in mind, I wish you and Jacy a wonderful and peacefull Christmas and a lot of
pleasure with your Wichtel gifts.

best greetings
your Wichteline

... and her' s a picture of my little stingy fellows.

greetings Wolfssohn and Jacy
