Season one is weak, especially that terrible pilot episode, but has some highlights. Season two is much better and had some good episodes. I've only seen the first episode of season three, since the rest is not available to me, so I can't comment.

Season one is weak, especially that terrible pilot episode, but has some highlights. Season two is much better and had some good episodes. I've only seen the first episode of season three, since the rest is not available to me, so I can't comment.
I found Season 3/Horizons to be a mix. Other than about 15 minutes of the premier, I found the first three episodes so weak that I was about ready to give up. Then I thought the next three episodes were powerhouses.
Musically however, I gravitate towards the first season, with the second season having some great highlights, and the third not being so strong. In listening to the LLL CDs, I'm finding that the tracks I'm enjoying, find interesting, and want to go back and listen to again are primarily those by Debney and McNeeley. Yes, they may be somewhat derivative of or rather similar to the work of Goldsmith, Horner, Williams, etc. in the 70s and 80s, but gosh darn that's the music I like best.
