Finished season 2 of IMPULSE, which was just released. I mean, it's an OK show, and I'm curious where they're taking it, but some of those moody, whiney, bratty teens -- damn, I want to slap them hard sometimes!

Just came across MASTERS OF SCIENCE FICTION.
Looks like an anthology series from 00s that ran on premium cable.

Looking forward to watching this!

Title by Ed Shearmur

You and your anthology shows! wink

But thanks, I'm adding it to the list. I hope it's better than MASTERS OF HORROR, which was so underwhelming, I jumped ship.

Anyone recommend COUNTERPART?

I loved Counterpart. It made one think. However, season 2 ended with a cliffhanger, and Starz would not commission a season 3. I hate it when a series won't give us a finale.

WATCHMEN on HBO

Getting rave reviews.
Had no-one seen it?

Ugh, no. Superhero stuff.

Added Shyamalan's excellent series SERVANT to the list. Not quite paranormal, perhaps, or maybe it is. It's hard to tell from the first season.

It's really Tony Basgallop's baby, so to speak, and I have to say I was quite impressed with the storytelling, performances and overall aesthetic. And at only 30 minutes there was nary a dull moment.

Thor, watchmen TV series wasn't about superheroes, it was about racism and had vigilantes in it and had lots of interesting sci-fi elements in it, and really interesting plot developments. It was really good.

What do you mean? Isn't this based on the DC Comics thing? I never cared much for the Zack Snyder movie, even though I'm a fan of his in general.

Yes, it uses the Watchmen comic as a springboard, but it's far removed from the comic, though uses a couple of the characters in interesting ways. They also reference the giant squid creature in the comic, as opposed to the film ending of the nuke, i think it was. The story features some masked characters but they are cops, and they set up the reasons why for that. Dr Manhattan is the only super-powered individual and he's a presence, rather than a character.

And stylistically it is nothing like Snyder.

My friend, who had never seen Watchmen, still enjoyed it very much. But i'm sure you benefit from having seen the film or read the comic. It has some good actors in it, too.

I've added the new AMAZING STORIES series to the list, although I was rather disappointed by the first episode.

Also added Alex Garland's DEVS, which might not be paranormal, but I'm a huge Garland buff, so I've added it to the non-paranormal section.

Thor I assume you get Netflix. If so, check out "Marianne" if you haven't yet. Weird and creepy.

Oh, and check out the German Netflix show "Dark". A mind bending thriller, wonderfully shot and acted.

Seen both of those, as evident from the list in the first post. MARIANNE was indeed one of the creepier TV shows I've seen in recent years. DARK is excellent too; a 'smarter' version of STRANGER THINGS, if you will.

There's apparently a new sci fi show premiering on Amazon tonight, called TALES FROM THE LOOP. I've added it to the list.

Everyone's been raving about the new crime/drug show ZEROZEROZERO, so I've added it to the non-paranormal section.

Added the French Netflix series INTO THE NIGHT, which is a neat take on King's LANGOLIERS (sort of). Love the concept, but there are some silly moments that strain credibility. In any case, it ends in a way that suggests a second season, even if it won't have the same tight 'high concept' idea as the first.
