Because Aaron was busy "Beardsly" stepped in, resulting for the latter an Oscar win.

I don't know the circumstance you're referencing, so I must ask.

Is this in reference to the opposite of THE WORST SECONDS OF OUR DEATHS?

Yes. Late in his career Beardsley did a couple of scores for Carnaby Thrones (a Thin Carton Production)

Q is one of the most famous nicknames here. It's fairly easy if you think composer names; not a lot of Qs going around.

Ok, how about this. Did "Q" enjoy thrilling people with music?

2. McTavish

This one maybe did more orchestration and arranging than composition. But he has eternal fame from one score he did, for TV.
