One of their recent digital release is "Le Fatiche di Ercole" originally from Digitmovies. This is a bit curious. But as I can see it they were quite shrewd and took the 26 FATICHE DI ERCOLE tracks not from the Digitmovies CD, but from the old Phoenix LP from 1984.

Disques Cinemusique released (in digital? CD?) Skinner's PORTRAIT IN BLACK? No, they digitally released MAGNIFICENT OBSESSION coupled with BACK STREET and TAMMY AND THE BACHELOR - but of course not coupled with PORTRAIT IN BLACK which has never been available at all - as you can see here in this list: https://www.disquescinemusique.com/composers-list

Stefan, if you go to MAGNIFICENT OBSESSION and click on PDF, you'll see PORTRAIT IN BLACK on the CD back label. It's only 3:55, so I'm guessing it's the main title and end title taken off DVD. Thanks for the info, PFK! I had indeed totally overlooked that they had also included that short suite (certainly taken from the DVD) of PORTRAIT IN BLACK.

There is not much to rejoice about the Delerue CD which is another one of those digitally sampled, artificially sounding Robert Lafond projects. Yeah - nothing to literally rejoice about, I agree. My usage of that word is intentionally ironic because an album similar to the Jaubert archival recordings (FSM's Maurice Jarre concert works) remains one of that label's poorest sellers. Most soundtrack collectors, apparently, have little interest in/appreciation for operatic singing or music structured in 'classical' forms. I was attempting to encourage such interest by stating 'Francophiles rejoice' because discs of film music from 1930s French-language cinema are very infrequent. If, years ago, the Marco Polo label hadn't issued CDs on film music by Honegger, Auric, Ibert. etc., then this area would be almost unrepresented on discs. Alas, already 2 FSM members exhibit no inclination towards this type of music and/or its vintage recordings...
