Why, on the promo label CD, does the main title of THE MAN WHO HAUNTED HIMSELF have the sound effects on it?
I'm guessing because it was the only source available. This was one of the last of his promos to come out. I guess somebody was searching for a decent master. The blu-ray has a nice isolated track. A proper CD release is one of my last holy grails. Love this film/score.
I have to say, if we could get an official and remastered release of just one Michael J. Lewis score, THE MAN WHO HAUNTED HIMSELF would get my vote.
Does the isolated track on the Blu-Ray have the main title clean?
Yes. It has the complete score without any sound FX, though many cues have volume dips where dialog would be placed. And it's not an isolated track synced up to the film, it's a "music suite" available as a separate option.
