Now all I need to do is to watch all the Marvel films I haven't seen to be able to grasp all narrative lines and characters in this one. Now THERE'S a project..... Probably something you can do in the winter months. Months?! The whole year is Winter!

As much as I think Guardians 2 was a lot of nonsense, it was really important in evolving the relationships between Gamora and Nebula and Gamora and Quill. Also, it introduces Mantis. Skipping it and expecting them to be in the same place you last saw them at the end of GOTG1 in Infinity War could be slightly confusing. Not by much, though. You can totally skip Spider-Man Homecoming, Absolutely nothing in the film has any bearing on Infinity War. All you need to know about Peter and his relationship with Tony is in Civil War. And, actually, considering where Peter is at the end of Homcoming, Tony making him an Avenger in Infinity War doesn't hold much weight.

Thor, like you I had missed a few Marvel pictures. I didn't realize that until I saw Infinity War. Two weeks ago I watched Ant Man and Wasp. Glad I sat through the end credits. Then I watched the last two Captain America films. (Winter Soldier and Civil War.) Hope I'm caught up. joan, you are doing what I have tried to do since Infinity War and I haven't been able to catch up. I was told I don't need to see Thor, Dark World, the Ant Man movies and Spider Man, Homecoming and the Incredible Hulk. I still have one or two to go and this weekend will be a marathon. Any thoughts? I personally think there are three you could skip: Incredible Hulk, Guardians 2, Iron Man 2. Must sees to have a solid understanding of the whole cycle: Iron Man Thor (first encounter with the space stone) Captain America: First Avenger (space stone) Avengers (space and mind stone) Iron Man 3 Thor: The Dark World (reality stone) Captain America: Winter Soldier Avengers: Age of Ultron (mind stone) Captain America: Civil War Black Panther Spider-Man: Homecoming Ant-Man Guardians of the Galaxy (power stone) Doctor Strange (time stone) Thor: Ragnarok (which leads directly into...) Avengers: Infinity War Ant-Man and the Wasp Captain Marvel Avengers: Endgame And I would watch them in that order. Good list bagby. I have to catch Thor, the Dark World, Spider Man and the 2 Ant-Man. Thanks
