FYI, y'all, "Happy Barefoot Boy" from TWO FOR THE ROAD was published.

That, and that rapturous pre-title theme from A SHOT IN THE DARK. The opening song in ASITD is titled "The Shadows Of Paris" and yes, it was once available in print. I think Robert Wells wrote the lyric. Found it...... Oh, but it sounds wonderful.

It looks like THE THIEF WHO CAME TO DINNER is available as a "single", but only the main theme, not the love theme. Neither are in the Mancini anthology. Dang and dang. Long ago (mid-70's) I did some take downs for WB publishing in Hollywood. I asked if a sheet music copy of this was going to printed. I was told Mancini submitted his piano solo arrangement but it was never published. No explanation. Don Black added a lyric and it became "I Believed It All", also unpublished. Heard this one again today, on the FSM cd. Tried it on the keyboard and found it has an interesting melodic pattern. I'm still regretting it not being published, especially after HM apparently submitting an arrangement. GRRRRR. Thanks, Roy, for the skinny on this.

SUNFLOWER (Loss of Love- Love theme from) Lyrics by Bob Merrill Just found the piano solo version of this, which is noticeably more like the LP version. Awesomenessssssssssss!

Here's one that never made it to the stands (cue title is real)! Only Fay Raiola could have known about this!

ONCE IS NOT ENOUGH (Theme from) If the SUNFLOWER solo is different from the vocal version, I'm hoping this OINE solo is different, too (all I have is the vocal version in the songbook.)

Anybody know where to find a listing of HM's sheets that were published? (The 1987 HM songbook has great discography and filmography, but nothing about sheets)
