I am glad that I ordered a copy as soon as I read that it was getting hard to find...it just keeps going up and up on eBay at the moment. (Just another reason I love this site.)

Must be the same case as eg Tomorrowland - only a few CDs made despite the huge box office (unlike TMRL) and they want to sell more through downloads - if it was recorded in the U.S. and they want to keep it under 14,999 copies sold for lower re-use fees. But if it wasn't recorded in the U.S. (and I "always" supposed it was in London) it really makes no sense!

Just grabbed two copies from two amazon sellers - one from FR, the other from UK... so hopefully at least one of them shows up.

OK... so it was indeed recorded in L.A.

Big thanks to Peter Kelly & the "yea's" in this thread for this score & the positive reviews - need a second run but my initial first listen was positive, very good score - like a John Scott (that's for McGann) styled regal fanfare butting against old 808 & Prophet V keyboards. A wacky mix, but it seemed to work. I didnt get fidgety or start making lists, so it's a pass there.

There is SOME of the usual Zimmery string-motion nonsense, but I didnt sense that was the main thrust - - I came away more focused on some decent orchestral writing & those old keys.
Probably should see the film & sort if the 80s elements are shoehorned in, or have some connection?
