So it's Horner's 'Batteries not Included'?

Yup.

Yup. I grew up in the eighties my friend. Soundtracks came out on something called cassettes back then. Then cds were invented and this one I had upgraded to cd for a double dip circa 1992ish. Man I feel old.

Ahhh I see. smile

Is just my copy of An American Tail that sounds as if a huge, thick curtain was drapped over my speakers when I play it?

It's not just you. Even the violin solos sound like they're being playing inside a heavily-soundproofed room fifty yards away. frown I would kill for properly remastered versions of An American Tail and The Land Before Time (with extra music, of course).

Yeah, both scores sound muddled and pretty awful on CD. I don't recall how they sounded on LP.

From Doug Fake:

This week’s new release is a 2-CD expansion of a lengthy score from the 80’s, full of fantasy and excitement. A single disc issued at the time of release offered just half of this wonderful score. Now we’re bringing you the rest of it! Artwork, contents and sound samples will be posted here at Intrada late tomorrow afternoon, Monday the 17th with orders going out later this week.

Sounds more like Willow than Batteries Not Included.

"Yeah if all you read is blah blah blah fantasy blah blah blah," said Roger in response to Willow last week. So, it's not Willow. Doesn't fit the teacup/griddle/home clues either. Only Batteries Not Included does that.

I can only conclude that Roger and Doug have not seen the film *batteries not included if they're calling it an epic!

Yes..wouldn´t call BATTERIES " EPIC" either.
" EPIC " is indeed WILLOW for the time being...but yes..no Sci_Fi.
Batteries is more something like a TV movie..when I saw it..

Whatever it is...great for Horner Fans anyway. And they are both great scores.

Ok so I am guessing the announcement is at 5pm Pacific? Don’t know why I can never remember intrada’s announcement time.
