among my favorite major mid synth-mid orchestral A-list composers. I find Wallfisch to be an interesting composer but I haven't really studied any of his scores. Should I take this comment to mean he blends electronics and orchestra in equal measure? Just curious

I find Wallfisch to be an interesting composer but I haven't really studied any of his scores. Should I take this comment to mean he blends electronics and orchestra in equal measure? Just curious Sometimes, sometimes not. With the exception of KING OF THIEVES, I don't share the enthusiasm for the scores mentioned by Sartoris above. I am, on the other hand, very enthusiastic about scores like SUMMER IN FEBRUARY, BHOPAL: A PRAYER FOR RAIN, DESERT DANCER, BITTER HARVEST and BLADE RUNNER 2049. The first four I mentioned are purely symphonic, the last (which was more his baby than Zimmer's) is obviously largely electronic, but he's a composer who can do all kinds of styles with equal quality. TWISTERS, however, was not his shining hour, as I previously mentioned. Seemed caught up in various tropes that didn't play to his strenghts.
