Sounds great, Lukas. The Homecoming has always been a great favorite of mine. Rascals and Robbers I only know by reputation, but understand it was, soundwise, a precursor to "Something Wicked This Way Comes" (A Horner score I truly like). Will definitely be ordering this one. Thanks very much for making the titles available.
Interestingly, Lee Rich produced "Do Not Fold, Spindle Or Multilate", which was one of the first television films produced by Lorimar, and was scored by Goldsmith, which probably led them to ask him to score "The Homecoming".
That would be great, if it panned out the way you speculated. (Too bad we'll never know unless McFarland publishes a history of Lorimar!)
I don't know whether to classify this as a late Christmas present or an early one, but the imminent release of "The Homecoming" is the happiest news I've heard all year. (My birthday was Tuesday so I'll classify this one as Best. Birthday Present. Ever.) After Lukas' late 2010 announcement to expect this sometime this year, I expected to see this released next fall. How wonderful not to have to wait that long! Totally happy about the Van Cleave too. The hits just keep coming! From my heart, thanks, as always.
Lukas, I just want to thank you for giving us this heads up. It means a lot - especially in terms of budgeting. I really wish all the labels would do this. I'm getting too old for this guessing game every couple of weeks. It doesn't make any difference to what I do or do not buy. We all have to be very selective in our purchases these days anyway. I think everybody wins because there's a following for every 'age' and genre.
Also, the Homecoming TV movie is owned by CBS while the Waltons series is owned by Warner Bros. (who acquired it in the Lorimar library).
And proceeded to indulge in their Stalinist logo-plastering or just plain lopping off. (Since The Waltons was the first Lorimar production - Lorimar didn't exist when the TV movie was made - this is doubly annoying.)
I suggest you read the following regarding Lorimar's early hstory:
en.wikopedia.org/wiki/Lorimar_Productions
Which still doesn't change the fact that they didn't make the TV movie ("A CBS Television Network Production").

Morton Stevens was Music Supervisor for THE HOMECOMING - he was the one who hired Jerry Goldsmith to write the score back in 1971...:-)
RCOM!! Thank you, FSM. I was thrilled to get the Criterion disc of this a couple years back, and look forward to this music release, the score is a gem like the film itself.
RCOM, complete and in stereo?!!!!! Will the film score collecting miracles of our time ever cease? Now all I need is TFVK complete and in stereo and I can die happy.
Too bad Criterion couldn't have remixed RCOM's soundtrack using the stereo masters for their recent Blu-ray. Well, maybe someday.
