Not sure - I always thought/heard Michael Small produced a small amount of those 'promos' himself since, at the time, there were no plans to release the score (I could be totally wrong). Who knows though...suppose that could be something to inquire about over at the Intrada forum.
I guess I don't care, but apologies for my apparently false belief (THIS time).
I'm quite sure that image has been associated with Jaws 4 via the promo. I don't think Intrada had anything to do with that early release, and IIRC used the image for their Jaws 2 booklet.
However I still use it for 4 because of that long association. Can't undo it.
How long is a piece of string? Sometimes the turnaround is fast - a matter of hours. Other times you struggle for days. It all depends on a variety of factors but usually the quality and condition of the material.
I'll never figure out why they felt the need to retouch Madeleine Stowe's face to such a degree on the artwork for Bad Girls. She's a damn cartoon. That cover is otherwise tremendous as always though, raferjanders.
I wonder if this version would have worked better for Return?
or this one, to keep the same artist for all three covers, despite him being clearly less inspired for the last one.
Thanks man!
The UK version of John Kirby's half-sheet poster gets a little too busy for this design I think. The US version works better.
As for the Tom Jung re-release poster, I would only consider that as an alternate, I don't think he brought his usual a-game for this one. It's way too simple for the final part of an epic sci-fi trilogy.

Yep I totally agree. it looks like he didn't really want to do it, the composition is boring and the fact that almost everyone is smiling makes it look really cheap.
And afterward I'll go with your first design. It was clearly the best choice.
Thanks anyway for the new version! Very much appreciated!
Anyone wants to try and create separate covers for Fried's FSM release (The Return of Dracula, I Bury the Living, The Cabinet of Caligari, Mark of the Vampire)? Thanks
