It is not close to WW84 level imo, but for a Marvel score, and a Balfe score, I enjoyed it very much. I thought it has a very distinct personality and is surprisingly mature. I guess that was why they thought Desplat would be a good choice.

I only mentioned the Zimmer because my reaction to that score has been an outlier.
It usually takes me several spins to acclimate to a score, no matter how good it is.

The first time I played this one, I didn't realize I had the settings set to shuffle.
Just listened to it again, in album order, and it's already leaving a stronger impression.

I agree, that this score does seem to have more of an individual personality compared to the majority of the Marvel movies. The downbeat passages- outside of the Russian lullaby- are tonally in line with Beck's more elegiac material in WandaVision, which is some of my favorite Marvel music so far.

I'm not regretting the purchase, and will hopefully appreciate it even more once I see the film.

Best Balfe to date.
Sadly, No CD = No sale.

The best tracks from the CD are left out of the film for some reason. They may be suites or just plain unused.

I was thinking exactly this today as I listened to the score. I couldn't recall most of the music actually being in the film. As a matter of fact, I barely remember the music in the film at with the exception of the End Credits.

Yeah, the entertaining "Natalie Soars" starts out the end credits. A shame it wasn't in the film itself. That entire theme seems to be excised from it, as it's used in more cues. It's just weird. What's left in the film is a composer on auto-pilot.

Can anyone confirm if the Avengers Theme quoted in the movie made it onto the soundtrack?

Nope. And oddly there appears to be quite a bit of music on the soundtrack album that I don't recall in the film. But that could just be me.

The lullaby cue is amazing! Didn't expect to come across something like this in a Marvel project.

Would have liked to have heard a Desplat score for this, nonetheless this is a very good score by Balfe. I would place it as high as Jungleland.
