Great to see it again from a different angle and the reaction shots of Horner in tears are touching.

Thanks for the tip spacekim. I got to see a little of it before I had to leave the house. Horner was definitely tearing up when they showed him in the audience and seemed quite happy to be there. Looked like a grand evening and it's so nice to know that David Newman is such a supportive fellow composer and friend to James. His conducting and the orchestra and chorus did a splendid job in celebrating Maestro Horner's great music!

Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaa...rian!

Long time no see. Then again we both tend to disappear 5 or more years at a clip...

Howard! smile Yes, I'm still here... once every few years or so. And still listening to music (with a large dose of film music) non stop.

Great! I was waiting for a HD version instead of the crappy Austrian TV stream online. I'd actually buy a DVD of that -- especially since I'm actually IN it (I can be seen photographing Horner on the red carpet in the beginning).

Actually the correct phrasing would be "you cannot be seen photographing Horner on the red carpet in the beginning"! big grin
At least I was not able to detect you there - in which 1/1000 sec. of the first few minutes of the video did you recognize yourself? wink
By the way: on the HIV-facebook-site they indicated that there may be a Blu-ray release of the concert. Let´s see if this will really happen...

As Horner enters the red carpet, I can be seen in the background, arms raised high with a camera. Blink and you'll miss it! It's at 0:26 here:

Ah, OK. I did see the person with the raised arms, but it´s impossible to recognize anyone, the resolution is simply too low. It may be possible if one knows the "shadow with the camera" personally, but otherwise it´s just a blurred image...

It is indeed. I doubt I'll be getting any calls soon. big grin

Here's crossing fingers for a sparkling DVD release down the road. Maybe even a Bluray, but then I need to get a player first.

What do you mean by "HD"? If this is a recording of the ORF III - broadcast, this was only shown in SD??? ORF III does not transmit in HD.
