solium:

Williams and me, the thrill died out a long time ago, in a place far far away.

Can't say I disagree very much.

The pure writing talent isn't gone, but that extra spark of creativity that translated into the listening experience and memorability, just isn't there for me personally. While the prequel SW trilogy scores were not on the same level as the original trilogy scores, they seem better in this new comparative light Disney trilogy.

If you take away the topical references, there's probably not much of anything left in "The Simpsons."

Frank Comstock should've scored STAR WARS instead of John Willams.

Superbowl, Schmooperbowl. It's just a game like all the other ones, right?

You can always just do something else, then look at the score the next day. That'll tell you who won, and BING! You've saved yourself all the time of having to watch the whole damned game, right?

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker was a brilliant conclusion to the Star Wars Skywalker saga.

Ooooo, Rick! You like walking the highest tightrope, in the highest wind, with no net, don't you? smile

They don't call me "Captain High Rope High Wind No Net" for nothing.

Does all that fit on your business card?? smile

I had a killer picture to reply to that.

But I couldn't upload it.

So ...I guess this reply is nothing.

22 02 2020 not a palindrome but another 2 digit date.

And in 2 years 22 02 2022 might be a mouthful. smile

Just rewatched Star Trek V for the 300th time, which confirms that Sybok is definitely the best Vulcan ever.

Picard is a Star Trek masterpiece.

This is what Trek is about.

Kurtzman - you are a genius! Bravo!

A thread from 2012? Wait, I thought the "toxicity" just started like a few years ago?
