I do have a few digipacks, and indeed, the replaceability is the key issue. I guess they are done because they may look and feel "nice" when they are sold, haptically more like a book (paper, cardboard) and not "plastic". I don't mind them as much as other people, but yep, they are more easily damaged. And if your plastic tray comes with broken clips, you're out of luck.

But the pure card sleeves require the disc to scratch against the cardboard every time you remove it and replace it, increasing the chance of scratches a lot. Quite true. That's why I have/had some of the CDs that came in cardboard in separate Jewel cases. For example, I still have the original THE LOST WORLD CD, which came in cardboard "dinorama" sleeve. So I got a "2CD" Jewel case, and put the LOST WORLD CD to the JURASSIC PARK CD.

Digipaks are bullshit, especially if there's no disc holder and you're sliding your CD into a scratch-inviting sleeve. Yes. I usually take the CD out - ONCE - to rip the contents, very carefully, put it in back into the sleeve and then store the digipack among other digipacks - not to tightly, and then forget about them until a non-digipack version becomes available. This happened quite a bit with Emarcy/Universal Frnace releases.

Will there be an Excel file made available Lukas? I'd love to see the full list of what was in the collection - even just for curiosity sake. I doubt I will be fast enough to snag anything - but would just like to be able to appreciate the sheer size of what Doug accumulated. Yes, of course, the Google spreadsheet will be posted at 10AM. There are so many titles that I am sure everybody can find something cool! Lukas
