Who knew you could grade the Indiana Jones films? big grin
More shockingly, that there was 1 person in the world who actually liked Temple of doom and another who liked the 4th tosh more than Crusade?! Lol wink

And we found out in 1978 there was a disco version....of everything!! smile

Yeah, great friendly chat. And there did indeed seem to be a disco version of... everything! Loved seeing Pan's People (if it was them) on Top of the Pops boogieing to Lalo's (John's?) JAWS. And on another tangent, when we were talking about how the original Alexander Courage Star Trek theme (after the fanfare) was kind of difficult to adapt - and we were mentioning the cover versions - I forgot to say that the Maynard Ferguson version, for all I admire much of his work, is one of the worst!

But to end on a positive vibe, I'd forgotten how much John Williams' JAWS theme sounded 100% Lalo Schifrin here! Thanks for reminding me -

Super sad to have ducked out so early last night. Sounds like I missed some excellent chat later on. Pleasure as always though!

There is a tricky tweak u have to do to the saturday links henry - it should have a - at the end of the link but clicking on the link loses it so you have to add the - manually in the heading command on the end. That might help.

Yes folks, just to explain again:

Our repeating cycle is:

Sunday at 8pm UK
Sundat at 8pm UK
Saturday at 9pm UK

And we loop round that. Last weekend, it was Saturday. So this coming weeking it's the first of two Sundays.

Please forgive the complex schedule, it's just that Sunday is most popular, but not everybody can do Sunday, and I want to be as inclusive as I can be.

But because Zoom is pretty limited in how it sets up recurring meetings, I had to set this up as THREE recurring meetings and you have to register for all three if you want to come to all the meetings.

The links to register are back on the first page.

And, yes, as Bill points out, the URL for one of the three series ends in a hyphen, and the FSM board crops the hyphen off when you click it, so you have to manually add it back on.

I know it's a bit of faff, but once you're registered, you should be able to add the meetings to your calendar of choice... Google Calendar, Outlook, etc.... so it's in your calendar.

Cheers

I wonder what is the most released score ever? if you add up all the formats, eg orig LP release, reissue LP, cassette, and all the CDs?

It'd be interesting to know!

The Blue Max has obviously had many issues on CD (I can think of five off the top of my head), but it wasn't that well reissued on vinyl, was it—two editions, or three maybe?

By contrast, From Russia With Love had loads of LP reissues prior to the dawn of the CD era, about seven I think, but only two CD issues.

Anyway, yes, for those who don't come to the Zoom meetings, we have been joking about how long it would be before The Blue Max was reissued!

Mind you, it's a fabulous score and deserves to be permanently in print.

Cheers
