i do not like cop shows in general but....
VICE & THE WIRE are exceptions because they are so original and so well produced

I finally took a punt on this while it was half price, when I ordered ORDEAL BY INNOCENCE.
All I can say is WOW!!! I absolutely love it!
The Main Title is a lot of fun, and totally NOT what I was expecting.
What has really blown me away though, is that unbelievably cool repeating groove that's going on under the funk in tracks like Busting The Club and The Chase. Once heard, never forgotten.
Those strings in The Electra. How great are they? My word.
The CD is so varied. Maybe that will put some punters off, but I love the myriad styles on display.
I can't say I've ever been mega familiar with Goldenberg, aside from some of his TV work (Columbo, Kojak, his DUEL score and the stuff I have on CD - Amazing Stories and TV Omnibus), but if this is an indication of what he was doing, then sign me up for more baby!!
This is a seriously great 70's score and I'm not surprised to see Jim P and Graham W living it up to this above 
Oh, and well done Bruce for letting this one see the light of day.

As I posted in another thread, it all seems to be about Holy Grails now, which is a real shame, since, for a lot of people, stuff like this stays under the radar or just plain ignored. Such a great score and Billy deserves the love, frankly

D'ya know what Jim, I'd never even heard of the film until Bruce announced this release.
I've seen almost all of Peter Hyams' films, (aside from that newer one he did - a Hitchcock remake, I think, with a David Shire score - oh, and I switched off that time-travelling Thunder film he did that was botched), and loved most of them, even that Van Damme Die Hard knock-off.
I'd been eyeing this CD for a while and still expect to see it start going for around $5 soon from SAE or Intrada, but figured the deal with the Pino CD was as good a time as any.
I'm enjoying the music so much that if I never see the film, it ain't gonna detract from the fun I'm having. I can't get that groove/motif I mentioned above outta my head.

I love scores you can dance to (in a 70s dance style, that is).
Just cutting some shapes right now to the Chase cues (you have to stop though, when the tension and suspension tracks start, it's a bit like that kids party game).
I even dug out my FSM TV Omnibus CD, cos of Graham's bullying.
Groovy Baby!! (And RIP).
