US comedian Dick Smothers is 86. He was in The Smothers Brothers Show (1965-66) with his late brother Tom; Alice Through The Looking Glass (1966), Speed Zone (1989), Casino (1995), and The Informant! (2009).

I remember her well from an appearance playing herself in The Odd Couple TV series. She sang "Happy and Peppy and Bursting with Love" and "Let's Hit Hitler Where He Lives." Didn't havta to look it up.

Last night off TCM I watched a little film called Lord Jeff. TK had a prominent role alongside Mickey Rooney (18), Freddie Bartholomew (14) and Peter Lawford (15!). Remarkable thing to think I was looking at an 86-year-old MGM picture with Kilburn still around while everyone else connected is gone.

US actress Dolores Hart is 86. She made her film debut as a child in Forever Amber (1947), then appeared in Loving You, with Elvis Presley (1957), and again with Presley in King Creole (1958). Also Wild Is The Wind (1957), Where The Boys Are (1960), Francis Of Assisi (1961), and Come Fly With Me (1963). In the 1960s she left acting to become a Roman Catholic Benedictine nun, at the Abbey of Regina Laudis monastery in Connecticut.
