I'm looking forward to Franglen´s score.

“I don’t want anybody whining about length when they sit and binge-watch [television] for eight hours,” Cameron told Empire magazine over the summer.

I swear, it's like these Hollywood people live in a different reality. You binge watch things at home, you can pause, go to the bathroom, etc. In a theater, you leave you seat, hope no one steals it, go to the filthy bathroom for which there may be a wait, and miss the movie which cannot be paused.

With a 3 hour 15 minute running time I'd avoid the large Coke going in or "The Way of Water" will take on a whole new meaning.

I mean, the cup can be reused if needed...

I personally have never minded longer run times provided there's a reason for it. Some moves you can just get lost in and it just doesn't matter. Others will make you feel like they need to end after about an hour. It's probably why I've always been a huge fan of editors lol

We'll see on this one! I didn't mind the longer run times on the first one or even Titanic (another one you can just kind of get lost in) so hopefully it's the same on this.

I agree 100%

Horner's score will be highly re-used.

Is a CD release for The Way of Water in the works? I can't find any info on it.

Horner's score will be highly re-used.

I have high hopes for use of his unfinished and unused themes and ideas.

That’s so good I’m afraid I might need to steal it!

I'm sorry to keep harping on this, but I hope this film brings 3D back to the home theater market too.

If they wanted additional Horner music for this sequel, they should have licensed some cues from Living In An Age Of Aeroplanes, which has a real Avatar vibe to it at times.

The song Nothing is Lost written by Simon Franglen and Swedish House Mafia and performed by The Weeknd has appeared on Disney's FYC page:

https://disneystudiosawards.com/avatar-way-water/song/

I was expecting worse considering the people involved (not Franglen, I still have hope for the score). Luckily it isn't a full EDM track. Pretty forgettable though.

Can it be even less memorable than the Leona Lewis song from the first Avatar?

I’ve seen Avatar countless times at the theatre and on Blu Ray and I literally can’t recall it at all - I can just about remember the title.
