THE KEEP in this box is only and definitively a new édition of this limited édition: https://www.discogs.com/fr/Tangerine-Dream-The-Keep-Original-Motion-Picture-Soundtrack/release/3980725 Not the original score from the movie. Correction: "Tangerine Dream - Pilots Of Purple Twilight (The Virgin Recordings 1980-1983) — Wouter123 3 novembre 2020 edité 17 minutes ago Hi, I was involved in the production of this box set. Your statement is incorrect. You refer to the TDI 1997 version of The Keep. That one is different to the version in this box set, which is in fact the 1984 original version. The original soundtrack of The Keep is exactly what is in the box set. Nothing less, nothing more. There is no other album version of The Keep. I guess you refer to the raw movie cues that appeared on various bootlegs... but those have never been planned to end up on an official album whatsoever. Remember: TD never simply compiled a bunch of movie cues to produce a soundtrack album. The band always 'produced' a true album structure featuring music material that is featured in the actual movie. That is what happened with, for instance, albums such as Thief, Sorcerer, etc.. These don't contain 1:1 movie cues as well. And the other soundtrack albums (on for instance the Silva Screen and Varese Sarabande labels) which do mostly contain raw movie cues were issued without the consent of the band - simply because the band didn't own the publishing rights for the music and consequently these albums were beyond their control. Here's some more differences between the 1997 TDI version and the version in this box set: - The box set version contains the original track sequence, while the 1997 version is in shuffle mode. - There's one track that is wrongly titled on the 1997 version (Parallel Worlds), but now documented in the box set correctly following the original 1984 track info (Parallel Words). - The 1997 version is lossy sourced (MiniDisc) and mastered too loud, while the box set version uses the original 1/4" tapes @15 ips and has all dynamics intact."
