I had a free morning today so I listened to "Vikings" by Mario Nascimbene - what a great recording it is!
James gave us a great gift by making new recording of this great score.

Like everybody here Im hope James is doing well... Unfortunately, his lack of activity here on the forum and on social media is very saddening and does not bode well...

I hope we will hear some news from him sooner or later.
If you're reading this, James, we wish you all the best!

I ordered two CDs recently. Haven't received any of them, of course. But the buying buttons on the website's catalogue are now gone, so someone clearly took notice.

I agree with your sentiments, Michal. I too hope James is well. We have been very fortunate over the years to have received wonderful recordings/releases made possible by the dedication and generosity of James.

Whatever the future brings for the company, I hope the recordings will be available for others to enjoy.

The buying buttons on the website are indeed now gone, you cannot order directly from the site anymore. And there is a Silva Screen E-Mail listed for trade orders.

Unless other retailers have Tadlow titles in stock, does this mean there will be no way of purchasing the Tadlow recordings.

That is unfortunately already the case, yes.

Intrada has a selection of Tadlow records available:

Good ones, I already have them all.

Other than Is Paris Burning?, those CDs are all on Luc Van de Ven's Prometheus label which are unaffected by the demise of Tadlow and remain available.

Ah, could well be... I didn't actually check the label, just they were listed under "Tadlow" at Intrada. They collaborated often, so the lines are sometimes blurry.

Tadlow recordings have disappeared rapidly the last few months. I got the last copy of the first "Thriller" CD on Amazon that is currently being shipped. Managed to pluck "Exodus" and "Taras Bulba" which you can't even find on e-bay now.

SAE only lists four titles. Blue Max, Private Life Of Sherlock Holmes, Lion Of The Desert and Obsession.

The Tadlow recordings are really wonderful and it would be a shame for them not being available for others to discover. I have all with the exception of 'King of Kings', delayed putting an order at the time and now regrets.

I think I saw a copy of it on FSM CD Sales which is ongoing.

Someone probably snagged it.

But he's got Obsession and The Blue Max.

I'd be willing to part with my copy of King of Kings (mint condition) for the price shown on Tadlow's site (£19.95/€23.5/$25) + shipping. Note that I'm in Europe, so shipping could be expensive depending on your location.

It appears that SilvaMasters.com may have the Tadlow albums.

Here's Taras Bulba, for example:

Not sure why we have the 'El Cid' overture on the 'Taras Bulba' download. Either way, this together with the other Tadlow/Prometheus recordings were so great, there was always that anticipation what will be recorded next. It helped with the fact that James taste in music was same as mine. Really good times.

It's probably worth pointing out that the Silva Masters site does not offer downloads for sale to the public - as far as I remember, the content is licenced for use by tv, radio, entertainment and advertising agencies etc.

No, but it means they probably own the recordings and could release them again in the future.

Most of the Tadlow/Prometheus recordings are selling at extortionate prices on ebay whilst others are not even listed. These were fine recordings and I hope they become available for all to enjoy.
