Sorry for the subject title attempt, just wanted to see if my cross-language word processor works.

Anyhow...

I just got an opportunity to see Gojira Mosura Kingu Gidora Daikaijyuu Soukougeki (GMK: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack) and I recommend it.

Kaneko Shusuke, who did so well by his 1990s Gamera films, does an interesting take on these monsters and the production design is pretty top-notch given the budget and time he had.

The story basically returns to the original idea of Godzilla being a metaphor for World War 2. Mothra is more realistically conceived then ever, if not given much screen time. Ghidorah is really the hero...complete opposite of usual.

Koh Otani's modern, pulsing score works well, too.

My copy is a "DVD-R" of the TOHO DVD, and the transfer is near flawless. 5.1 Dolby, widescreen...its a good film and if you are a fan of daikaiju flicks, I recommend you track this down, its one of the best Godzilla flicks yet made.
