I remember Siskel and Ebert saying the Mad Max II opening had the best montage scene ever put on screen. I'm sure the music helped. I know I was immediately sucked into the film from the start.
Isn't it about time MAD MAX and MAD MAX 2 had another life on CD?
I would buy Road Warrior again if it had the original LP cover (Varese US cover that is) on the packaging. Even if that was the only change!
Hi Roger! I own the poster with that artwork. I bought it professionally framed on Amazon. It was quite pricey, but it looks great. I also have the MAD MAX and BEYOND THUNDERDOME posters. I think BEYOND THUNDERDOME by Amsel is my favorite poster. While FURY ROAD is my favorite film, the poster is my least favorite in the series.

Treble. Do we know who owns the rights? Even a modestly improved re-issue with - the Varèse cover art, fine notes by a pro such as DeWald, Bond, Cortez, Larson - would be most welcome. BuySoundtrax/Dragon Domain have a done a fine job of re-issuing the ONE M ONE releases. Perhaps they could get their mitts on both Mad Max and The Road Warrior.
