Just saw this news:

Video Premieres (an occasional print companion to industry trade Video Business) has confirmed that Disney is currently working on a 2-disc DVD special edition of "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" for next year, which will include new animation of many of the characters in the film. Look for the title to be released sometime in the first half of 2003.

What!? It sounds like it's saying Disney is going to reanimate all the characters. Say it's not true! Though I would find it hard to believe Robert Zemeckis would allow such tampering, especially after reading that recent Bob Gale interview someone posted.

Although it doesn't mention anything about characters being "reanimated," this post I saw at Toonzone.net earlier mentions the expected bonus features.

Interestingly, it seems like the movie will actually be on Disc Two.
