What's in store, for 2004?? Why it's big fat Al, the bloated BORE! His campaign did not score, for big fat Al, the bloated BORE. His party will nominate him as before. And now he comes to the fore,To raise hell some more! And protest the war! The last election still leaves him sore. As we fall to sleep on the floor.Snores galore! It's the same as it was in his last tour. Except without the whore! Who needs another Gore?? If he'd shove off now I'd gladly throw him the oar! To shack up with Queen Noor! Cause' Tipper's gained a few more. The snideness, the phonyness, are what he has in store. And the voters will again roundly slam the door..(Left hand swing!!) On big fat Al, the bloated BORE..

Okay, folks, I have my crash helmet on!! (It could get messy, so I'd advise young children to tune out!)

only Algore would imply that the defeat of the Taliban in Afghanistan was indeed a defeat for the US.

What an asshole he is.

I'm no fan of Al, but I can't help noting here that he got more votes than the guy actually put in office. At least back then, more people liked him more than Bush, obviously (though the way said voters were distributed, it didn't matter).

I'd personally love to see both Bush and Gore lose, though I know it won't happen.

As I saw him blasting Bush this afternoon, at a "lecture", (that's all he ever did anyway) I was just waiting for someone to come up and stick a pin in him, and watch the balloon that he is deflate and fly all round' the room..Hey, Bush can't get the "fool me once" line right , and gets pretty scary himself. But he shoots pretty straight .. But Big ol' Al, he's just downright scary because he's sneaky.. A real sneaky bastard..Just like his former boss..

This will be interesting to watch...
IS ALGORE ELECTABLE?

I don't think so, but then I never would have voted for him when he was considered electable.

Gore was soundly rejected as a possible presidential candidate by the DNC in 1988, and he wept bitterly, having been groomed for the office by his father. It was the Clinton phenomenon that swept him back into that realm.
But, after all that has transpired since the controversial 2000 election, does Gore have any chance of convincing his party that HE should be their front runner in the 2004 election?

As I said, this will be interesting to watch...

We're making light of it, but Al & Tipper are two very depressed people who are doing their best to cope with defeat.

Chris,
That self serving "speech" he gave today was uncalled for..I guess that's what prompted this "TOPIC".If he had any class, he would continue teaching, grow back his bad "professorial" beard and wait his turn..Again..Then we can listen to his drivel..But don't publically make these kind of speeches when the country is still hurting.. And this "Iraq thing" is confusing enough.. ..He's being selfish, and self serving..And if anyone has half a brain, they can see through him..Nice to see you posting, Chris!

Anzaldiman,

self-serving speeches is all Gore has been doing since he decided to step back into the spotlight.

It's scary to think that the Democrats have no other viable candidate to run for office in 2004.

lord, can you imagine what his class at Columbia might have been like?
Mny professors use their positiona to indoctrinate, not educate.

Gore's speech criticizing Bush's headlong plunge toward war was "uncalled-for"?

Or is the simple fact that Gore phrased his objections in language that Bush can scarcely comprehend -- let alone match -- what you object to?

Well, if you want to kick a sitting president out of office, you can't exactly say "Good Job Dude! But I think I can do better!"

He has to attack something. Personally, I think he (or whoever is going to run for the Democrats) should go after the economy. It still sucks. Still, when Tom Dasihel produced a thoughtful speech on the economy and all the other more traditional Democratic hot button issues nobody reported it. Maybe Gore knows what he is doing. He at least got some airplay.

In any event, I think it is a little early to be starting this campaign.

Well, when that maniac fires a few missles with chemical warheads out of the blue at Israel, everyone will sing a different tune! Especially the democrats..Watch..But, they'd rather have us wait... "OOH, he can have his missles, but let's not provoke him now!!" Would you like Charles Manson at the button too??

Clinton and Gore's timing right now is impeccable, don't you think?? As much as Bush Sr. couldn't stand Clinton, he made it his personal policy as an EX President when asked by the media about him (Clinton) to keep his mouth shut, and let "THE PRESIDENT" run the country..Even after Clinton's LAME response after Saddam's henchmen tried to assassinate Bush 41 ...A token tomahawk..A joke...The maniac tries to assassinate a former US President, and that "administration" blew a spitball at him! Remember??

"Tom Dasihel produced a thoughtful speech on the economy"

If Daschle ever had any credibility, he lost it all in my view when he defended the inheritance (or estate) tax.
This is the most immoral, reprehensible tax our government has ever invented, and it should be abolished immediately.
Daschle's defense of it openly shows him to be a blood-sucking snake of a politician who would gleefully rob the grave of his own mother.

Daschle even had the C-Span cameras follow him around South Dakota in his suv, shots of him driving, talking to the camera, wearing chinos, tassled loafers and all, on a "handshaking" tour of his "beloved" South Dakota..All the stops were obviously pre-planned.. And all the same folks know him, and know the routine, so what's the point?? (He does this supposedly every year) The gas station, the firehouse, it all looked like Smallville from Superman..He was so prepared and wooden it made me wince..They all knew he was coming...This is what turns folks off to these guys..He must have thought this homespun malarkey would make him look more "in touch"..Ahh, NOT! He has a constant expression on his face that looks like his head has just been pushed into a HUGE pile of steaming dog poop!
