Has anyone watched this show? I have fully enjoyed the past two shows, and I am in high anticipation for next Mondays. I have not been touched by a TV show like this since "Six Feet Under". I really hope this show gets the ratings that it needs to keep going, because this is truly a winner!
I have a question, and a proposition. I would like to start taping and keeping this show on videotape so I can watch it over again at my leisure. I have the Ultimate TV system through Direct TV (sorta like TiVo) and I accidentally erased the pilot episode tonight.
Is there anyone here who possibly taped the pilot? If so, I would be willing to trade some scores to get a copy of the pilot so I can start archiving this brilliant show.
Please browse my cd collection at www.johnnyecks.com and email me if you find something of interest.
Haven't seen it (not much of a fan of most of what's on WB), but thought it might be good just because of Treat Williams. But the ads showed it looking like just another show where the father and his son don't get along and are constantly arguing, something I've gone extremely tired of. Is the show at all like the ads portray it?
It looks like the kind of touchy feely show that's been done a hundred times before.. Fresh air, family squabbles..But I'm willing to give it a whirl..
Yeah, the show does have that 'been there, done that' look to it but I dunno... it works. I think it works for me because it is, mostly, about the relationship between fathers and sons. This has come on at a very relative time in my life, so I can relate to much of the feelings portrayed there.
Something about it though, really really touches me. Maybe it dosen't feel 'forced'. It feels real. The dialogue is real and greatly acted. The scenery is beautiful. This last episode really touched me in a way that I haven't been touched by a tv show since last seasons "Six Feet Under".
Jake, email me please! johnnyecks@johnnyecks.com lets work out a dealy thing going on! I would love to be able to get that pilot!
Johnnyecks, I know this may sound dumb, considering you probably allready explored it, but have you gone to the WB site, or performed a search on "Everwood" to see if the pilot will be re-aired at some point?? Sometimes, they re-air stuff on the weekends,at weird times or late at night..Keep your eyes peeled..Some stations (like pbs) post a programming grid for the entire month on the net..They are really promoting this series, and I would not doubt they want that pilot out there..
