This will not be coming out. There is simply not enough people who will pick this up to at least get us to break even. Our numbers are dwindling sadly as to who buys these anymore.
That is disappointing but I understand the situation. The market for older music is sadly waning. It's a shame more people don't check out the Morton Gould CD. That is really beautiful powerful music.
If you ever make the Comstock in any format, be it download only, CD, old Sony Minidisc or even Fisher Price Pocket Rockers, I will be there though!

There are lots of labels not releasing the Comstock album, and you won't stop buying from them. But you'll punish Notefornote for wanting to do it but ultimately deciding they couldn't.

Notefornote announced the release. If they can't get their act together to release an album they announced, they shouldn't announce it in the first place.
So, yes, I won't buy anything from them, until they release this.

I'm grateful that you are not empowered to make these decisions.
Look under CONTACT INFO: You'll see my name listed. I'm a part of this label. We are fine with you not buying from us. There are plenty of other labels with great releases, please send your money there

Thanks. So I overreacted. I will probably buy your releases, assuming they are not "Driving Miss Daisy," as I avoid Hans Zimmer.
Now, can you tell us if Warner/Rhino may release a download-only version of this masterpiece?
OnyaBirri should heed the counsel of a wise person who once said:
"are you suggesting that companies should not decide what they do or do not want to sell? ... It is a business decision, pure and simple."
and
"You can shake your fist at the clouds all you want, but [NoteforNote] is entitled to self-determination."
A very wise person indeed. I completely agree with both statements, and I, as a consumer, have a right to self-determine which companies I support. That said, I'm sure that I will support Note for Note music in the future.

Unless Peter was implying all format releases were not financially viable, maybe he could address the possibility of a digital download. Cheaper than having to produce physical copies. Dunno if digital licensing would be cheaper.

Appreciate that my friend.
I should add that I was well into my second bottle of wine when the news broke. Friends, don't let friends drink and post.
