Having gotten through all but one of the scores on this set after acquiring it last year, I'm curious about one element that isn't clear from the set's notes...which of these albums were re-recordings for LP and which were the actual film tracks. I know at least Breakfast at Tiffany's, Charade, and Hatari! are album re-recordings. Fairly certain that The Great Race, Two For the Road, and The Pink Panther are as well. Anyone able to confirm the others? - High Time - Who Is Killing The Great Chefs of Europe? - Arabesque - Oklahoma Crude - The Return of the Pink Panther - What Did You Do In The War, Daddy? - Experiment In Terror - Darling Lili - The Party - Visions of Eight - Me, Natalie I have all of these on the original LP releases. I think all of them are re-recordings except "Chefs", "Me, Natalie"and "Oklahoma Crude". Not sure about "Return of the PP". The RCA re-recording album covers said "music from the film score".

According to Amazon's listing, "More Music from Peter Gunn" is missing. ... The track "Peter Gunn" is from the movie "Gunn" not the original album. It features Plas Johnson on electric sax. I believe it was a Selmer Veritone. Right. I have the cd up on the TRADING POST BRM

This soundtrack album (slated for expansion later this year for the movie’s 50th anniversary) So is this another case of an album being in the works for 10+ years? (To the point where a 50th anniversary edition became a 60th anniversary edition?) Yavar

This soundtrack album (slated for expansion later this year for the movie’s 50th anniversary) So is this another case of an album being in the works for 10+ years? (To the point where a 50th anniversary edition became a 60th anniversary edition?) Yavar At the time I really hoped for the full expansion that Quartet just released. But I think what they meant by the expansion was to only include the bonus track of Fran Jeffries singing It had Better be tonight. Only insiders will know, but I think the statement - as it is written above - means an individual (expanded) release of "The Pink Panther."
