After the lovingly created and truly brilliant BSX recording of Blade Runner - what's stopping them for using the same people to FINALLY release Tangerine Dream's score to The Keep?

That is a very good idea.....

I suspect it is on our list.

And oh, how I shall buy it!

(I just hope the song rights allow you to use Walking In the Air from the end credits.)

(And I can't wait to get that cue where McKellan is walking out of the Keep with the talisman toward the end. Great weird synth choral stuff there.)

As long as it doesn't sound like it was done on a 15$ Casio keyboard like 'The Bounty', i'm all for it !

Saw this post from 2014 and wondered if it's still on your list, Ford. As the original seems impossible to release, a new recording would be very appealing.

If you're referring to Vangelis' BOUNTY, that's a spectacular score. But I'm guessing you're referring to the 're-recording', in which case I'm inclined to agree.

I would also love a proper legit release of THE KEEP (one of my favourite TD scores), but I understand there's a whole lot of issues preventing it.

I am always eager to discover new scores. I know TD and here in Germany they have gained a certain status through the years. The only scores I have listened to until know are THIEF and NEAR DARK.
What is this movie KEEP about and what about the music? Is ist all electronic? Good to read that BSX has it on the list. That sounds exciting!

I would call it a supernatural thriller.
The score is mostly electronic--some new, some pre-existing.
All atmospheric and all AMAZING! smile

For the time being, Tangerine Tree Vol. 54 is about as close as we are going to get to a decent version of the score

Me too! I love The Keep- both score and film. It's very moody and atmospheric. Huge TD fan myself so it would be great to get this score.

Any updates on The Keep, Ford? Still a possibility at least?

The Keep is very high on my grails list, as I suspect it is for many here. As a hardcore Blade Runner fan—Blade Runner being my favorite score of all time—I must say you guys did a very faithful job of recreating that score (reimagined end credits aside). I would welcome similar such treatment for The Keep.

I'd buy one in a heartbeat.
I'd buy two, in fact--just to double the kick of buying it.

I think Craig Safan's Confrontation from 'Thief' would work wonders for the end scene of 'The Keep'.

Actually, Safan's 'Confrontation' and Rubini's 'Graham's Theme' from 'Manhunter are basically 'Comfortably Numb' !
