Actually, Thor, your thread subject was very intriguing...I actually thought you mean "out" -- as into "other" realms a la James Earl Jones' character in "Field of Dreams."

I keep hoping for an "out of body" experience one day. Not anything life-threatening...not with my ass on an operating table...just something induced by a meditative state/trance for an adventure.

That WOULD be interesting to hear about, yes, but it's not like that is something we do every thursday at 4 pm. smile

There are people who go skydiving every weekend, or bungee-jumping, or mountain climbing.

For them that's the norm...for most of us, that's just nuts!

As I have no idea what you might do for fun, I wasn't willing to assume you couldn't be transcendental!

Hi Thor, I like to go out. Here's my story:
every two weeks, I am free for one week to do what I want, and that's easy (here follows a description of a day):
1. I wake up at 14:00, make coffee, and listen to film or classical music.
2. At 17:00 I'm going shopping (food and drink stuff)
3. At 18:00 I'm going to drink an aperitif in my favorite pub, en then it starts... I meet a lot of friends, and after some porto's, sherry's, beers and bacardi cola's, I go home.
4. At 00:00 I (try) to make a dinner, and eat.
5. At 1:00 I open some bottles of wine, I see a movie (or two), and then I listen again to filmmusic (sometimes till eleven during the morning, I can't get enough of music).

Get the picture? Salus et vita !!! big grin

Well, when I'm not working my 40 hour a week desk job (gotta pay the bills), yeah, I like to go out. I go to the movie theatre at least once a week. I go to live sporting events when I can (I have tickets to see the Wizards play the Lakers (!!) and the Capitals play the Flames next month at MCI Center). I go out to bars some to have a drink or two (liquor is preferred over beer). I travel all over the country when I have the time. I'm going to do my best to see John Williams when he conducts the National Symphony in January, along with other concerts of that orchestra. And, of course, I go out and just hang out with my friends, too.

Well, i'm proof that film-music fans are not nerds, because i'm almost never at home, go to see 3 or 4 concerts a month, last two weeks i saw PETER GABRIEL and BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN in Paris, like to have a few beers now and then.

Oh, and a new girlfriend now and then is fine too !
